I hate growing a mustache but I hate cancer even more. #Movember

I hate growing a mustache. I always have. Even when I've sported a goatee at various point in my life, it's always been without the mustache part. It itches and every time I look down I can see it there like some fuzzy caterpillar or fungal growth. I'm always paranoid that I have food or boogers stuck in it. I pretty much hate it.

But I hate cancer even worse!

You can help make it worth it. I'm obviously not doing this just to make myself look ridiculous (I don't need a mustache for that) I'm one of the many men around the World who are using our facial hair to raise awareness of testicular and prostate cancer. Talk about horrible cancers. The effects of both of these cancers on men, besides being life threatening are also both literally emasculating. Men hate talking about this kind of stuff and usually don't go in to get tested until it's too late.

Please help and make me feel better about this ridiculous facial growth by donating to the Movember cause. I've currently raised only $50, but I haven't really asked much yet. But as my mustache grows and annoys me more, it reminds me that if I'm going to do this, I might as well do this right.

    Please help me fight cancer.

For me it's the maintenance, including when it is part of a full beard. Once you get past the creepy stage how short do you trim what parts? If you want the Tom Selleck push broom, then you just keep it from growing over the lip, but then after a while it gets rounded and is constantly in the way. And what about the corners of the mouth? Most men grow slightly less facial hair just below the corners of their mouths next to the bald spot that distinguishes the "soul patch" so it's natural to let the hair above grow down to fill in, but where does it stop? And how do you keep it from curling into your mouth.
You are a brave soul. I don't think I've ever just grown a mustache while shaving the rest of my face. Every time I shave my beard I leave the mustache for anywhere between 5 minutes and 5 days, but that isn't the same of wearing the shame of the chico stache while it grows in. With the beard you can at least play it off as stubble for a while.
