    Twitter appeals more to adults than kids
    Twitter is unusual among social-media sites in that its breakout success has been driven by adults -- just over one in 10 of its user base is part of the 12-to-17 demographic. The microblog shows that "a site can take off in a different demographic than you expect and become very popular," said Andrew Lipsman, director of industry analysis at comScore.
